Dr. Ranya Buhamad
Biography
Dr. Ranya holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical and analytical Sciences from Trinity College Dublin, and a Pharm.D degree from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Kuwait University. Currently, she is the Antimicrobial Stewardship (ASP) Team Leader at Jaber Alahmad Hospital. Dr. Ranya is a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), the HIV Medicine Association (HIVMA), the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists (SIDP), and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, reflecting her commitment to excellence in infectious diseases and pharmacy practice. Dr. Ranya has played a key role in establishing hospital-wide protocols and guidance to improve medication prescribing and utilization and enhance patient therapeutic outcomes.

Dr. Ahmad Alqalaf
Biography
Dr. Ahmad is a board-registered pharmacist in the state of Georgia, currently serving as the Cardiology Team Leader at the Clinical Pharmacy Unit of Jaber AlAhmad Hospital in Kuwait. He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Health Sciences and a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from Mercer University and has earned certifications in Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and Pharmacy Based Immunization Delivery from the American Pharmacists Association (APhA). Dr. Ahmad brings a comprehensive background in clinical pharmacy, shaped
through diverse rotations during his clinical training, including ambulatory care at Grady Memorial Hospital, community pharmacy at Publix, adult acute care in cardiology and critical care in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital, as well as academic administration at Mercer University. He also gained experience in psychiatry at Georgia Regional Hospital and OBGYN surgery at Northside Hospital.

Dr. Zainab Safar
Biography
Dr. Zainab Safar holds an Honorary Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) and an Honorary Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree from Kuwait University, where she gained a strong foundation in pharmaceutical sciences.
Currently, she is the medical team leader in the clinical pharmacy unit at Jaber Alahmad Hospital. She has created various patient education materials on different drug forms to optimize medication utilization and enhance compliance. Besides her role in clinical practice, Dr. Zainab leads the Clinical Pharmacy Unit training program in Jaber Hospital along with the head of the unit and effectively provides lectures and workshops to the unit candidates to assist them in gaining essential knowledge and skills required to assess and manage patients in practice.

Dr. Khaled AlShatti
Biography
Dr. Khaled Alshatti obtained his medical school degree (MD) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He subsequently pursued a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine from Canada and is both
American and Canadian board-certified.
Since returning to Kuwait, he has been invested in improving care for older adults on a national level. Currently, he is the head of the Geriatric Unit at Jaber Alahmad Hospital and has established a multidisciplinary geriatric medicine consult service involving healthcare professionals from different specialties to optimize geriatric patient care.
Besides his role in clinical practice, Dr. Khaled became the general secretory of the Kuwait Geriatric Medicine Association and a part of the research team for the Kuwait Older Adults Survey. Additionally, Dr.Khaled is a clinical tutor for the Kuwaiti Board of Internal Medicine program.

Dr. Abdulaziz Fu`ad
Biography
Dr. Abdulaziz obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) in 2020 and has been involved in establishing the Clinical Pharmacy Unit at Jaber Alahmad Hospital. Currently, he is the Geriatric Unit Team Leader and a member of the Unit training program, providing advanced specialized training for pharmacists and Pharmacy students. In his role, Dr. Abdulaziz joined a number of committees to enhance the standards in pharmacy practice, including the
Pharmaceutical Care Services Committee for Older Adults (2022), the Scientific
Committee for KUPHA (2024), and the VTE Safety Committee at
Jaber Alahmad Hospital (2024). Additionally, he completed the Pharmaceutical Care of Older Adults training program offered by the Ministry of Health (MOH).
Dr. Abdulaziz is passionate about raising awareness among the community, as he has effectively contributed to multiple awareness initiatives and campaigns inside
and outside Jaber Alahmad Hospital.

Dr. Shaikha Aloudah
Biography
Dr. Shaikhah obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from Kuwait University, and she is a member of Jaber Hospital Geriatric Multidisciplinary Team
(MDT) and provides essential care for older adults in inpatient wards and OPD clinics. She continued her professional learning to pursue a certificate in Responsible Medication Prescribing for Older Adults” from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She also participates in the Geriatric Pharmaceutical Care Program offered by the Geriatric Health Services Administration of the Ministry of Health (MOH) in Kuwait. In her role, Dr. Shaikhah has developed numerous patient education materials tailored to the unique needs of older adults and participated in national initiatives
organized by the Geriatric Health Services Administration to raise awareness about geriatric conditions and empower caregivers to improve health outcomes

Dr. Afrah AlAdwani
Biography
Dr. Afrah is the Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Unit at Jaber Alahmad Hospital. She obtained her PhD in Clinical Pharmacy from the University of Strathclyde, Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences, UK, and a PGCert in Researcher Professional
Development. Currently, Dr. Afrah is a member of the Breast Cancer
Multidisciplinary Team (Breast MDT) at Jaber Hospital, where she provides specialized care for patients receiving chemotherapy.
During her practice, Dr. Afrah established and approved various protocols and clinical practice standards with her team in collaboration with the oncology,
infectious disease, nephrology, and cardiology units. Also, she leads a workshopsbased program established in 2022 for continuing education and skills development for pharmacists to promote high-standard updated practice. In
addition, Dr. Afrah is active in research as she has been involved in multiple studies and has published her articles and abstracts in international conferences and journals.

Clinical Dietitian
Khaled AlSahly
Biography
Khaled AlSahly is a clinical dietitian and the endocrine and diabetes team leader in the Nutrition Department at Jaber Alahmad Hospital. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Dietetics from San Francisco State University, California. Also, AlSahly is certified as a diabetes educator by the International Diabetes
Federation. In his role, AlSahly provided essential guidance for diabetic patients, including dietary consultations,carbohydrate counting, Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) reading, lifestyle modification (safe exercise with diabetes), and insulin dose modifications. Besides his role in clinical practice, AlSahly is passionate about providing education and sharing his expertise with his colleagues and
other healthcare professionals; he provided educational workshops on “Type-1 Diabetes Basics” at Jaber Al Ahmad Hospital. Additionally, he conducted courses on “Diabetes Management Essentials.” at SESC, the Sports Medicine Center

Clinical Dietitian
Ahmed Alsaleh
Biography
Ahmad AlSaleh is a clinical and sports dietitian registered at the British Dietetics Association with more than 12 years of experience in the field. He holds a bachelor’s degree in nutrition science from the College of Pharmacy and Medical Science in Jordan and an MSc degree in science and sports nutrition from Loughborough University, UK. Currently, he runs a clinic at the Sports Medical
Center of the Sports Authority and SESC Sports Medical Center in Kuwait.
In his role, AlSaleh was the sports dietitian for the Kuwait Football Association (KFA). He supervised all Kuwait national football teams (first, Olympic, women &
youth teams) from 2017 to 2022, AlNaser Futsal Team (UAE), and fighters of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Additionally, AlSaleh participated in many competitions with the national team, including the AFC World Cup (2022), Asian Cup (2022), Gulf Cup (2017 and 2019), AFC Fustual Championship (2020), and AFC Asia Cup U23
(2018).
During his practice, AlSaleh pursued many specialization certificates by completing
courses on Special Football Nutrition and Diabetic Diet Course (DDS) and participated in multiple national and international conferences.

Abdulaziz Alshehab
Biography
Abdulaziz AlShehab is a clinical and sports dietitian currently positioned as the Surgical Nutrition Unit Team Leader at Jaber AlAhmad Hospital. He
obtained Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences – Emphasis in Dietetics from the Pennsylvania State University in 2017, where he gained comprehensive knowledge in nutritional sciences, including clinical dietetics, community nutrition, sports nutrition, and food service management, preparing for a career in evidence-based nutrition and contributed in research on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), investigating the impact of specific fibers on disease progression and patient
outcomes. He also obtained a PgDip in Sports Nutrition from the Institute of Performance Nutrition (IOPN), UK, which is accredited SENr, ACSM, BDA, and ISSN. Abdulaziz attended the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN) in London, UK, and the Futbol Club Barcelona’s Sports Science Week in Barcelona, Spain, to enhance his expertise in the field. During his practice, Abdulaziz was also a nutritional consultant at Diet Station, a
consultant and partner at GRAMS and Approved Life, and a health coach at HerbaLife, expanding his expertise in recognizing individual nutritional needs and tailoring
customizable meal plans, considering the patient’s daily life activities such as sleep
patterns, stress levels, exercise, diet, daily water consumption, social issues, and work environment. Besides his clinical expertise, Abdulaziz worked with Kuwait University as a Clinical Internship Supervisor and conducted a comprehensive

Dr. Israa Abdullah
Biography
Dr. Israa is the Pharmacy Manager at Champions Hospital, directing the establishment and development of the pharmacy department to international
standards. Dr. Israa obtained her Pharm.D and B.Pharm degrees from Kuwait University. During her career, she played critical roles in improving pharmacy practice and clinical pharmacy services in different hospitals, including governmental hospitals at the Ministry of Health, Kuwait Oil Company (AlAhmadi) Hospital, and Kuwait Private Hospital. Dr. Israa’s expertise spans over 10 years; she established the local practice protocols, policies, and medication safety standards. Dr. Israa is also an active researcher with several publications in highly ranked journals.

Dr. Faisal is a consultant medical oncologist and Head of the Medical Oncology Department at Jaber AlAhmad Hospital. and was positioned as the head of the Breast Cancer Unit at the Kuwait Cancer Control Center (KCCC) with experience in the field for more than 25 years. He has a certificate of specialized training in medical oncology from Yorkshire Deanery with MRCP (UK) and MBBS from the University of Newcastle and completed his oncology training at Leeds Hospitals, UK.
In his role, Dr. Alterkait established the medical oncology services at Jaber Hospital, which is the first secondary care hospital in Kuwait to provide healthcare services for
cancer patients, and participated in creating the first Breast Cancer MDT of healthcare professionals from different specialties,
Dr. Alterkait is interested in research and has participated regularly in international
conferences to ensure that the best evidence-based practice is applied in Kuwait.

Biography
Dr. Moureq AlOtaibi is an Assistant Professor at King Saud University. He holds
a Ph.D degree in Pharmacology And Toxicology From Virginia Commonwealth
University.

Executive Office. He holds a position at Qatar University as a Clinical Associate Professor of Clinical
Pharmacy & Practice. In addition, he is chairing the Standing Committee on Medication Services at
Qatar Red Crescent Society. He is also the Vice President & Director of ISPOR Qatar Chapter.
Dr. Anas finished his BSc in Pharmacy at the University of Jordan. He obtained MSc in Clinical Pharmacy,

Ahmed El-Sheashaey is a Senior Hospital Oncology Pharmacy Specialist at the Kuwait Cancer Control Center (KCCC), where he leads innovative efforts in oncology pharmacy and medication safety. With over 15 years of experience, Ahmed is a certified patient safety professional and a dedicated advocate for enhancing chemotherapy practices.
As the lead of the PPOs Advancer Quality Improvement Project, Ahmed spearheaded the modernization and standardization of KCCC’s Pre-Printed Orders (PPOs) to align with the latest ISMP, ISOPP and ASCO safety standards. This initiative streamlined chemotherapy order management processes, minimized medication errors, and fostered a safety-oriented culture in oncology care.
Ahmed has also been extensively involved in passing knowledge and expertise to newly established oncology pharmacy services across Kuwait. His efforts include spearheading compounding and cleanroom designs, preparing for the move to the new KCCC building, and ensuring oncology pharmacy practices adhere to the highest international standards.
His contributions extend beyond clinical practice to strategic planning, where he plays a key role in developing innovative solutions to enhance oncology pharmacy services throughout the country. His leadership as the Coordinator of the Safety and Risk Management Committee underscores his commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient safety and medication management.

For the past 18 years, he has provided direct patient care at hospital settings at King Hussein Cancer Center and Foundation, Tawam Hospital, and Saudi Aramco Medical Services Organization- Now called Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare and finally at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
Osama is a Board-Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP), from Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS).

Prof. Ahmed AlJedai
Biography
Prof. Aljedai earned his Doctorate Degree (Pharm. D.) from the University of Health Sciences and
Pharmacy in St. Louis, MO, USA and completed a general pharmacy practice residency and a specialty
residency in immunology and solid organ transplant pharmacotherapy at the University of Tennessee,
Memphis, TN, USA. During this time he obtained his Master of Business Administration (MBA) as well.
He is board certified as Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS), Board Certified as Transplant
Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCTxP), a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP), a
Fellow of the American Society of Transplantation (FAST), a Fellow of the American College of Clinical
Pharmacy (FCCP) and a fellow of the American Society of Health System Pharmacy (FASHP). He works
currently as the Assistant Deputy Minister for Therapeutic Affairs, Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia. He
is the founding president of the Saudi Clinical Pharmacy Society (SSCP). Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He is a
Professor at Al-Faisal University, Schools of Medicine and Pharmacy and the editor-in-chief of the

Dr. Saeed Abdullah
Biography
Dr. Saeed Abdulla is a highly experienced clinical pharmacist with over two decades of practice in both outpatient and inpatient healthcare settings. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and a Master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacy from Ajman University, as well as a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the prestigious Mohamed Bin Rashid School of Government.
Dr. Saeed is a board-certified pharmacist in Oncology, Pharmacotherapy, Intensive Care, and Infectious Disease. He was also the co-chair of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program at Zayed Military Hospital.
In addition to his impressive credentials, Dr. Saeed holds a Ph.D. in Healthcare Management from Hamdan Bin Mohamed Smart University.
Dr. Saeed is particularly interested in infectious diseases and intensive care, with a focus on HIV consultation, antimicrobial resistance, and substance use disorder. He has co-authored several published articles and is a sought-after speaker at numerous pharmaceutical and medical conferences.
Dr Saeed is the president of the Clinical Pharmacy Club, the Emirates Pharmacy Society.

Biography
Prof. Aljedai earned his Doctorate Degree (Pharm. D.) from the University of Health Sciences and
Pharmacy in St. Louis, MO, USA and completed a general pharmacy practice residency and a specialty
residency in immunology and solid organ transplant pharmacotherapy at the University of Tennessee,
Memphis, TN, USA. During this time he obtained his Master of Business Administration (MBA) as well.
He is board certified as Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS), Board Certified as Transplant
Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCTxP), a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP), a
Fellow of the American Society of Transplantation (FAST), a Fellow of the American College of Clinical
Pharmacy (FCCP) and a fellow of the American Society of Health System Pharmacy (FASHP). He works
currently as the Assistant Deputy Minister for Therapeutic Affairs, Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia. He
is the founding president of the Saudi Clinical Pharmacy Society (SSCP). Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He is a
Professor at Al-Faisal University, Schools of Medicine and Pharmacy and the editor-in-chief of the
Saudi Journal of Clinical Pharmacy. He was the past chairman of the scientific board of pharmacy in
Saudi Arabia. He works as a consultant clinical pharmacist with the solid organ transplant. He is a
member of the advisory board of 5 different schools of pharmacy in Saudi Arabia and many peer
reviewed journals such as the Journal of the American Pharmacy Association (JAPhA) and Journal of
American College of Clinical Pharmacy (JACCP). He has held several consultancy positions at the world
Health Organization (WHO), Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), and the Saudi Commission for
Health Specialties (SCFHS).
He has presented more than a thousand presentations over the years locally and internationally and
published more than 140 original peer-reviewed research papers in the medical and pharmaceutical
journals in addition to 4 textbooks chapters related to transplant pharmacotherapy, pharmacy
practice, health technology assessment and administration.

Dr. Saeed Abdullah
Biography
Dr. Saeed Abdulla is a highly experienced clinical pharmacist with over two decades of practice in both outpatient and inpatient healthcare settings. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and a Master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacy from Ajman University, as well as a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the prestigious Mohamed Bin Rashid School of Government.
Dr. Saeed is a board-certified pharmacist in Oncology, Pharmacotherapy, Intensive Care, and Infectious Disease. He was also the co-chair of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program at Zayed Military Hospital.
In addition to his impressive credentials, Dr. Saeed holds a Ph.D. in Healthcare Management from Hamdan Bin Mohamed Smart University.
Dr. Saeed is particularly interested in infectious diseases and intensive care, with a focus on HIV consultation, antimicrobial resistance, and substance use disorder. He has co-authored several published articles and is a sought-after speaker at numerous pharmaceutical and medical conferences.
Dr Saeed is the president of the Clinical Pharmacy Club, the Emirates Pharmacy Society.
